Among all the things India is known for, the most important is the food. Our signature dishes with curries and street food is as diverse as the people. To take things beyond, the new retail cum restaurant Too Indian is transforming traditional Indian food with a modern touch.
If this sounds something new to you, here is a brief go ahead. Too Indian is a new restaurant which doubles up as a bar and a retail outlet. Located in Rajouri Garden, the place offers one of its kind dining and shopping experience in whole of Delhi.
The unique concept speaks for itself and we made it out to review the place.

Ambience & Service
As we walked in, the lively setup grabbed eyeballs. The place boasts of beautiful interiors and lavish design of everything from flooring to the walls. A large seating area, the bar, a library section are just few more things to keep you hooked to Too Indian.
That’s not all. The theme of the restaurant adds more to the ambience. You will find paintings, frames, crockery amd kitchen tools featured on shelves around the walls. The best thing – you can buy everything you find here, from something to decorate your home to your favorite serving palate!
There is a wireless waiter calling tool in place which is quite handy to use. A loud and modern music along with a comfortable theme stays up with you all the time.
Apart from impressive concept based ambience, we were impressed with the response from the serving staff. The manager took care to get everything right to count for a good experience. Everything else went smooth except the extended waiting time for our food orders. It was probably due to extra efforts for presentation, but the delay still hurts.
Redefined food at Too Indian
Food section is both innovative and completely out of the ordinary. Even though there are many dishes which look familiar on the menu, they look equally surprising when served. Traditional dishes are given a modern makeover and a new blend of taste, that’s exactly where lies the concept of Too Indian.
Here’s all of our eat-to list at Too Indian:
They are some flavor rich kulfis that come in a garden themed palate. The watering can on the beautiful garden hosts these kulfis named sorbets because they taste like one. Out of the box, it is sweet and as good as a lovely drink.
Is this dahi bhalla?
That’s what you’ll end up asking to the dish. Nothing like a normal dahi bhalla, exclusive to the place. Topped with a namkeen and some additional flavors, it tastes like you’re having dahi at once while bhallas at the next point. Presentation and taste makes the dish stand out.
These tiny tacos fill up taste buds with wonderful flavors of paneer. Tastes incredibly delicious with a crispy coating and good stuffing, though lesser in quantity.
Veg Afghani Momos
It’s a new addition to the menu which took our journey to a standstill. Seriously, how could momos with thick crust be so delicious? This is our recommendation if you’re looking for one.
Milk Cake Pie
It does the work. Beyond hot chocolate and a decorated palate, it falls behind to create the right flavorful sensation. Not something bad, but also not something worth appraising.
Salted Caramel Shake
Berries, candies and ice cream makes it worth a try. Contrary to most of the items unique to the place, shakes aren’t much different, though good value for money.
It was a wonderful dining experience with some unseen dishes. Since the focus is on presentation and taste, you are getting a bit lesser value in terms of quantity of food.
When at Too Indian, you will find the modern touch to everything – the interiors, retail space and the food. Ask for the taste or presentation, they are both fabulous. But same creates a compromise on service speed and the quantity that you get. Thus, Too Indian is a place for the experience, for something out of the ordinary, where traditional food finds a modern touch without compromising on taste. The unique concept still remains one of its kind in a solo restaurant.
